"The Monkey's Paw" infographics
The 8th grade class read "The Monkey's Paw" and analyzed WHY the story is scary. They had to use textual evidence to prove how the author used literary devices to create a scary story.

We were very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with the Appalachian Writing Project this week! The instructor, Dr. Crystal Hurd teaches creative writing at Abingdon High School; our students benefited from her expertise!
